Walk your dog during cooler hours. If not, choose a park or area with lots of shade for your dog walking.
Ensure your dog has plenty of cool water. Do not leave the water bowl in the sun.
Avoid walking your dog on the road as the tar gets hot and burns the dogs pads.
When your dog is alone at home, ensure there is a cool and shaded place your dog can sleep.
Never under any circumstances lock you dog in the house of apartment without proper ventilation or cooling.
Never ever lock your dog in your car alone.
