Roadie Pad & Pet has been providing extraordinary pet care services in Cape Town since 2019 when Etienne started walking dogs in Table View. Roadie Pad & Pet gives all creatures, great and small, the compassion and personal care they deserve. If you have a dog with special needs, we will do whatever it takes to cater to her or his needs! Roadie Pad & Pet's only criteria are that we are able to provide you with the very best service.
Roadie Pad & Pet appreciates the strong, personal bond our professional dog walkers forge with each of the dogs we walk. We have dedicated staff members from Monday through Friday who is assigned to their own individual walking routes in each of the Cape Town neighborhoods we serve.
Roadie Pad & Pet offers the service as a private walk of your dog or pack of dogs. This service is for 1 dog to a pack of 4 dogs maximum. Your dog (pack) will NOT be walked with any other dog. Your dog (pack) will get individual attention. We will follow your instructions on the exercise request and any other agreed request from you. The booking schedule is set by you for the month. You can request special services such as vet visits, trips to the groomer, etc. as long as it is within the time and the duration of the walk. We collect and drop your dog at your door. Following each walk, each client receives a real-time update, including confirmation of time and duration, a “business report” (one or two!!), and any additional information the client may find helpful. Roadie Pad & Pet are happy to put some food down, administer medication upon request, leave a light on, and wipe down paws should you not be available upon dropoff. Book Here.
This is more targeted at Apartments, Complexes, and gated communities. With this service, we walk your dog with other dogs from your community. We only walk a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 dogs per walker to ensure the walker can give each dog the attention they need. Roadie Pad & Pet try to match the group walks with dogs of the same size (if possible) that are familiar with each other. The collection and drop off of dogs are at your door. Scheduling of walks are on set times and with non-frequent clients, certain days of the week. We only offer incident reports with this service. Unfortunately, this service is dog walking only. Should you require special service for your dog, you will need to book the Individual Dog Walk service. Roadie Pad & Pet walk your dogs for an hour. Although the book is for an hour and a half, the allocated time for the walk is 1 hour. This is for both services. Should you require a longer walk for your dog, we do offer our 4 pm slot for an hour-and-a-half walk. For our Individual Dog Walk clients, we can accommodate longer times for an extra fee.
Roadie Pad & Pet walk your dogs from your door in the safest area of the public road as possible. We will walk to a park or dedicated dog area. In areas where there is a beach or promenade on the route, we will walk your dog there. All dogs will remain on their leash and in harnesses at all times. Only Individual Dog Walk clients' dogs will be taken off leash if so instructed within a dedicated enclosed dog park at the dog owner's responsibility.
Roadie Pad & Pet will do everything in our power to ensure the safety of your dog during a walk. All our walkers do have an emergency kit with them on a walk for small incidents. In the unfortunate event of an accident or any serious emergency, you will be contacted immediately by the walker or staff member of Roadie Pad & Pet, while we will rush your dog to your vet. Should this not be possible, the walker will first take your dog to the nearest vet en route. Please refer to the agreement signed regarding the responsibility for any cost. We do recommend that you insure your dog for any emergency and add Roadie Pad and Pet as a Dog Walker to your policy.
In the case of your walker needing time off due to vacation or sickness, we don't miss a beat. Roadie Pad & Pet's excellent management team is all set to coordinate coverage with the assistance of our exceptional “Coverage Walkers”. Our Management and Coverage team keeps careful notes and specific instructions for all of the dogs we care for and carefully adheres to individual protocols. We always keep our clients in the loop and take every precaution to ensure seamless coverage.
As long as it's safe to walk outside, we continue walking through all sorts of weather! We operate on the same principle as a Uber service: neither rain, wind, nor Gremlins keep us from getting the job done!
Dogs must have body harnesses with durable leashes supplied by the owner and will stay on the dog for the duration of the walk. Any special conditions or injuries the dog might have must be declared beforehand on our dog information form. Meeting your dog and taking it for a test walk is a must. No dog will be introduced to the group without evaluation. We do recommend that you insure your dog for any emergency and add Roadie Pad and Pet as a Dog Walker to your policy.
Roadie Pad and Pet do not walk any dog without your consent. The forms you complete are to protect you, your dog, the walker, and Roadie Pad and Pet. The information form will be kept on file for the management team and walker to see any needs, special requests, and any information we deem important to ensure the safety of your dog.

Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 2 pm. All dog walks are one hour in duration. Our scheduling is for an Hour and a Half to ensure we have ample time.
Roadie Pad & Pet is closed on the following days: Recognized National Holiday. Should you wish us to walk your dog on any public holiday we would charge it at an extra fee (as per the employment laws of South Africa) to accommodate the walker.

Our scheduling is for an Hour and a Half to ensure we have ample time. For evenings and weekends, we have an exceptional off-hours staff. There is a small additional charge for walks during off-hours.
Rates vary depending on the service you choose, including the duration and frequency of walks. We bill monthly payable upon booking via our online service or cash upon the first visit. There is a link on your invoice that allows you to pay directly. We also accept all major Credit & Debit Cards, and Paypal (ZAR be converted to $), and other services will be added soon.
We understand that surprises arise, and pride ourselves in coming through in the clutch. While we ask for as much notice as possible, it's never too late to request a walk. Roadie Pad & Pet is committed to being there for you and your pet! For weekend scheduling: We want to help! Since we have a smaller Saturday staff, we ask for Saturday walks to be scheduled by Thursday evening to ensure coverage. Of course, if something comes up, you should never hesitate to reach out. We will always do everything possible to help.
Sundays we do not cover any regularly scheduled walks. We do however would accommodate your loyal clients on special occasions should the need occur for us to walk the dog on a Sunday. This would be charged as an extra fee that must be paid on the day of the walk (before the walk).
If you need to cancel a walk, our cancellation policy is 24 hours. All 24-hour cancelations will be credited for the period of the cancelation and carried forward as a credit on your next invoice.
Please do understand that we work on a strict booking system to accommodate everyone, therefore re-allocating or rescheduling walks on a regular basis can not be allowed. With Group walks that are set times per area, we can not allow any re-allocating of bookings.
