Roadie Pad & Pet offers 2 different options when it comes to house and pet sitting. With the one, we occupy your home (Pad Occupation Service), when there are pets involved, and with the other (Pad Visit Service), we regularly visit your home, when no pets are involved.
Roadie Pad & Pet will have a staff member live in your home for the duration of the house and pet sitting service. They will perform the task that Roadie Pad & Pet and the homeowners agreed upon. See the "what's involved in house sitting" section of the FAQ for more info.
Roadie Pad & Pet will have a staff member visit your home for the duration of the house-sitting service. They will perform the task that Roadie Pad & Pet and the homeowners agreed upon on a daily basis as scheduled (times might vary for security reasons). Roadie Pad & Pet has a detailed checklist we follow as we walk/occupy your home, including EXTERIOR
- Walk perimeter of your home
- Check for water or storm damage
- Check for signs of vandalism or trespassing
- Check for visible irrigation leaks, distressed plants, and weeds
- Check the irrigation timer
- Remove any literature from front doorways and driveways and postbox
- Check that pool/spa is being maintained
- Ensure that landscape lighting and exterior coach lights are operational
- Inspect for proper water flow at condensation lines from HVAC system
- Check all doors and windows to ensure all are locked and secure- Check for unwanted pests
- Flush all toilets
- Ensure garbage disposal is done
- Occupies the house and monitors surveillance (Pad Occupation Service only)
- Check temperature of refrigerator and freezer
- Start automobiles to help keep batteries charged and engines running smoothly
- Refill water evaporation buckets as needed
- Look after your pets as per instructions (Pad Occupation Service only)
- Pet care as per information and discussed pet-sitting duties.
- Providing pets with food and fresh water.
- Administering medication to pets according to the instructions provided by pet owners.
- Cleaning out litter boxes, cages, and aquariums (fish).
- Exercising pets as needed, which includes taking dogs out for regular walks.
- Providing regular updates to pet owners, which includes communicating with them telephonically or via email as well as sending video clips and photos.
- Promptly notifying pet owners of pet illnesses or injuries that may occur.
Roadie Pad & Pet will send you regular updates on a daily basis via email or WhatsApp. Should anything be wrong, will contact you immediately via phone.
Roadie Pad & Pet will do everything in our power to ensure the safety of your pad and pets. The office will have all the emergency numbers for security, police, fire department, vets, plumbers electricians, and any contact you supplied us with. In the unfortunate event of an emergency, you will be contacted immediately by Roadie Pad & Pet, and should it be a life or property threatening emergency the emergency service will be contacted first. Please refer to the agreement signed regarding the responsibility for any cost. You must insure your property and pets for any emergency and add Roadie Pad and Pet as a House Sittier to your policy.
Roadie Pad & Pet will gladly receive any delivery on your behalf that you notified us of.
Roadie Pad & Pet will gladly allow any authorized service provider onto your property to perform the service you required them to do. Please do note that Roadie Pad & Pet will not take responsibility for the project because our staff members are not trained project managers. We will gladly send you an occasional photo should you require it, but our staff members are instructed NOT to communicate with the service provider on your behalf.
Roadie Pad & Pet will gladly water plants and add some chemicals to the pool which you can communicate to us at the Meet & Greet. For large gardens and pool, it is recommended that you have a garden and pool service that comes once a week for a full service. Roadie Pad & Pet staff members are not trained garden or pool specialists and therefore will not be able to do full maintenance.
Pets are most comfortable in their own environment, and this allows for little disruption to their normal routine! This is why we only offer this service with our Pad Occupation Service.
Pet grooming is sometimes a specialized service. Roadie Pad & Pet will do the regular brushing of cats and dogs, should the pet allow the sitter to do so. We recommend that you keep scheduled bookings for the grooming of the pets.
In addition to offering pad and pet sitting services while you are away, we are also available for dog walking while you’re here!
It is beneficial for your pet(s) to keep their routine as close to what they are used to when you’re home. We offer various types of services to accommodate your individual needs. During the meet and greet, we will discuss your routine and work on a schedule that meets the pet's needs.

Roadie Pad & Pet asks that you provide us with at least one way to enter your home. You can give us a copy of your house key, garage code, lockbox code, or door code. How do I schedule visits/services?
We have a wonderful team of sitters that each work in different service areas. For the duration of the booking, we will have the same sitter occupying your home. We cannot guarantee that you will have the same sitter every time you make a booking, but we do our best to keep it consistent. You never have to worry, as all of our sitters are trained and are provided with all of the information they need to offer excellent service!
Roadie Pad & Pet will have a full inspection of the property and the condition of the content before occupation and or visit. This will be documented in form of a checklist with photo evidence. Both parties will sign and agree to the list and be added as an amendment to the agreement. The property owner must add Roadie Pad & Pet to the insurance (home, pet, and content) and security companies as a house and pet sitting service to ensure that they are covered in case of an emergency. Roadie Pad & Pet takes care of all kinds of pets! This can include but is not limited to, birds, fish, turtles, hamsters, etc. Unfortunately, we do not care for snakes or any dangerous pet that needs specialized care.
You can pay by cash or online via credit card when making the booking. Any short-term (less than 5 days) bookings must be paid in full on the day of taking occupation or visits start. We do take a deposit for long-term bookings and the balance is payable on and not later than the last day of occupation or visit to the property.
